Looking northwest from Geunjeongjeon (근정전), over the roofs of the corridors surrounding Geunjeongjeon and the roof of Sujeongjeon (수정전) can be seen Inwangsan Mountain (인왕산).

Located in the Jongno-gu (종로구) and Seodaemun-gu (서대문구) districts of central Seoul (서울), South Korea (대한민국), Inwangsan rises to 338m above sea level. The name 'Ingwansan' name means 'mountain of generous king'.
