Yuhwamun Gate (유화문) is the western gate of the Heungnyemun (흥례문) compound in Gyeongbokgung (경복궁) Palace in Seoul (서울), South Korea (대한민국). Built in 1867, the fourth year of the reign of King Gojong. Yuhwamun Gate was used as the gateway for officials accessing the administrative buildings and assembly halls located in the west of Gyeongbokgung.
Destroyed in 1911 to make way for the construction of the Japanese Government-General Building during the Japanese occupation of Korea, the Japanese Government-General Building was then demolished in 1995, and the current building was reconstructed in 2001.
