N Seoul Tower Shadow
Caption / Description:

Looking north from the N Seoul Tower (엔 서울타워), the tower's shadow can be seen on the square and forest below.

Located on Mount Namsan (남산) in Seoul(서울), the N Seoul Tower is 236.7 metres high, the top being around 480 metres above sea level. Offering excellent panoramic views of the city, it is a major tourist attraction in Seoul, with around a million visitors a year.

The Seoul Tower was built in 1969, and was first opened to the public on October 15, 1980. The tower was remodelled in 2005, at a cost of ₩15 billion. Upon re-opening in December 2005, the tower was given its current name 'N Seoul Tower', with the 'N' standing for 'New'. Previously it was known as just the Seoul Tower or Namsan Tower.
