A path leads through the woods on Mount Namsan (남산), a peaceful retreat in the center of Seoul (서울).

The mountain and surrounding area is a designated public park maintained by the city government. 82.8% of the park is forest, covering an area of 2,454,140㎡. Namsan park contains 2,881,870 trees, made up of over 190 different species.
