A statue of a cartoon girl stands outside the Seoul Cartoon Museum (만화의집), which was opened in May 2002. It is part of the Seoul Animation Center (서울애니메이션센터), and displays a range of cartoons, ranging from modern cartoons to 'classic cartoons' from the 1980s. As well as showcasing Korean artwork, there is also a section of the museum dedicated to world comic art.
