Infrared photo of a Cerastium fontanum (Common mouse-ear chickweed) flower and flower buds. The darker markings on the petals are visible in infrared light, though perhaps not quite as strong as they appear in visible light.

Parts of the plant that appear green in visible light (the sepals, leaves, and the centre of the flower) all appear much brighter in infrared than they do in visible light. They appear around the same brightness as the flower petals.
