The long shadow of a tree trunk, cast as the sun sets on a winter's day. The photo was captured using a combination of red and infrared light, which gives unusual colours.

The photo is taken at an angle, giving a sloping horizon. In the right hand corner the bare winter bracnches of a tree poke into the frame.
