Kodak Aerochrome / EIR style photo looking down a track running along the edge of a wheat field. The photo is produced by capturing a combination of infrared, red, and green light, and then remapping these colours to display as red, green, and blue respectively.
The chlorophyll in plants, which makes them appear green to the eye, also strongly reflects infrared light. In an image captured and processed like this one, this results in them appearing bright pink-red. The field of wheat is ready for harvesting, and so has very little chlorophyll left, which results in it appearing a more neutral colour.
The sky overhead is filled with numerous cumulus clouds, which contrast strongly against the darker sky. The sky reflects comparatively little infrared and red light, which results in it appearing darker than it would in a standard visible light photograph.
