Infrared close-up photograph of a cluster of Bergenia crassifolia (Elephant's ears) flowers.
In infrared the the stigmas and anthers appear much brighter than they do in visible light, where they are quite dark. The petals have little variation in tone, though this is consistent with their appearance in visible light.
The plant flowers in late Winter / early Spring, and is also known as Winter-blooming bergenia.
