Campanula persicifolia 'Telham Beauty' flower [UV]

Description

Title:
Campanula persicifolia 'Telham Beauty' flower [UV]
Caption / Description:

Close-up ultraviolet photograph of the flower of Campanula persicifolia 'Telham Beauty'.

The flower's appearance in ultraviolet is visibly different from that in visible light. While it lacks ultraviolet nectar markings on the petals, the three lobed stigma appears much darker in ultraviolet light.

A member of the bellflower family, Campanula persicifolia has violet-blue bell shaped flowers, normally flowering in early summer.
