Infrared photograph of a Gladiolus plant (Priscilla cultivar) in flower.
Gladiolus × hortulanus 'Priscilla' has light pink flowers with darker pink edges and a pale yellow centre. The flowers are arranged on a tall flower spike, with flowers opening first at the bottom of the spike. As the newer flowers higher up the spike start to unfurl, the older flowers at the base of the spike start to die off.
In infrared light the flowers have no visible patterning. The foliage in the background also appears much brighter than it does in visible light.
