Infrared photograph of a Aquilegia caerulea cv. Crimson Star flower. Under visible light the plant has star shaped flowers with deep red spurs, white corollas, and a tuft of yellow stamens in the very centre.
In infrared the red and white parts of the flower both appear the same tone. Similarly, the foliage in the background appears a similar tone to the flower, showing that the different areas of the flower and foliage all reflect about the same amount of infrared light.
