Aquilegia caerulea cv. Crimson Star has star shaped flowers with deep red spurs, white corollas, and a tuft of yellow stamens in the very centre.
Aquilegia caerulea is naturally found from the Rocky Mountains in Montana south to New Mexico and west to Idaho and Arizona. There are numerous cultivars available, the showy flowers making it a popular garden plant.
