Herb Robert (Geranium robertianum) with pink-purple flowers, growing in the shade under a bush. The plant is common through Britain and Europe, and has also been introduced to North America.
Geranium robertianum has green fern-like leaves and five petalled pink flowers with two darker stripes down the centre of each petal. The stems are reddish, and the plant flowers from mid-spring until autumn, at which time the leaves also turn red.
