Ultraviolet photograph of a red Gerbera flower floating on top of a glass of water. Some flowers have hidden UV markings used to attract bees and other insects, but this Gerbera cultivar does not appear to have any such markings.

Gerbera is very popular as a cut flower, and there are a large number of different cultivated varities.
