A few bits of tree are left standing on a section of Callow Hill where the forest has been cleared. On the horizon can be seen Flounders' Folly, a small tower built by Benjamin Flounders in 1838.
The woods on Callow Hill, comprised mostly of Pines, are owned and operated by the Forestry Commission, the government department tasked with managing forests and woodlands in the UK.
