Flounders' Folly can be seen on top of Callow Hill, above the track below that eventually leads up towards the Folly.
Flounder's Folly was built in 1838 by Benjamin Flounders, a prominent Quaker and industrial entrepreneur, who owned the nearby Culmington Estate.
After Flouders' death in 1846, the folly slowly fell into disrepair, until the castellated top of the tower finally collapsed in 1987. The Flounders Folly Trust was set up to preserve the tower in 2000, and since then has managed to purchase the tower and restore it.
