A window on the Lenin Palace (Palats Illicha) in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. The building is in a bad state of decay, with some areas cordoned off and police patrolling the area to deter potential vandals and squatters.
Initially planned as a Palace of Labour, the building was designed by architect Alexander Krasnosel'skii. The palace opened in 1932, and is notable for the large theatre contained within. The theatre could seat over 1600 people, and had a stage area equal to the Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow. The total cost of the building construction and equipment is estimated at 6 million rubles.
