The two-spot ladybird (Adalia bipunctata), also known as the two-spotted ladybug or two-spotted lady beetle, is a small ladybird found throughout western and central Europe and North America. It feeds on aphids and other small insects, and is used as a biological control agent in some situations to keep aphid populations down.
Adalia bipunctata has red wing casings with a single black spot on each elytra. It can also be sometimes found as a rarer colour morph, which is black with red spots.
