Ōiso panorama

Description

Title:
Ōiso panorama
Caption / Description:

Looking out over houses from the Ōiso Prince Hotel in Ōiso, Kanagawa prefecture, Japan. The area is quite mountainous, in the distance around the center of the image can be seen Mount Takatori.

Ōiso was favoured as a seaside health resort during the Meiji period. With good rail links to Tokyo, a temperate climate, and sandy beaches, the town has continued as a popular holiday resort to this day.
