Description

Title:
Path through the trees
Caption / Description:

A path runs through trees on top of a railway enbankment that used to carry the Rugby and Stamford Railway line between Lubenham and Market Harborough, Leicestershire, UK.

The section of railway up to Market Harborough was opened in 1850. Originally single track, it was doubled at the end of 1878. The line was later closed in June 1966 as part of the Beeching cuts.
