It is located in Osaka Castle Park (大阪城公園; Osaka-Jō-Kōen), Osaka, Japan.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi (豊臣 秀吉) is a famous Japanese warrior and general who managed to unify Japan under a single leader. He also built Osaka Castle, the grounds on which Hōkoku Shrine is currently located. The statue of Toyotomi Hideyoshi is a re-creation of an earlier statue that was destroyed in 1943 during WWII. The new statue was installed in 2007 and stands 3.2m high on top of a 2m tall pedestal.
