Looking through the central gateway of Injeongmun gate towards Injeongjeon throne hall, in Changdeokgung palace, Seoul, South Korea. Changdeokgung was originally built in 1405, though has been destroyed and rebuilt several times since. In 1997 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as being an "outstanding example of Far Eastern palace architecture and garden design".
Injeongjeon was built so that it appears to have two stories, though it is actually a single storey building with a high ceiling. Built as part of the original palace in 1405, the current building dates from 1804.
