Description

Title:
Gwansugyo bridge, Cheonggyecheon
Caption / Description:

Looking east along Cheonggyecheon stream from Gwansugyo bridge, in Inpjeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Gwansugyo was constructed on the site of Cheonggye 3-ga crossroad by the Japanese in 1918. Cheonggyecheon was previously covered over with roads until the government embarked on a $900,000,000 project to restore the stream in 2003. The restored stream was opened in 2005, and has become a popular spot for people to relax in central Seoul.
