Looking across a pedestrian crossing on Jongno towards Dansungsa cinema in Jongno 3-ga, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Dansungsa was the first movie theatre in Korea, established in 1907. It is known for being only one of a few cinemas that showed Korean films while Korea was under Japanese occupation.
Jongno, which means "Bell Street", is one of the oldest east to west streets in central Seoul still in use today. It runs for 0.79㎞ from Dongdaemun gate in the east to Sejongno in the west.
