A bas-relief monument of the Korean independence movement at Tapgol Park (탑골 공원), Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. This relief depicts the Korean protestors clashing with the Japanese police. The protest against Japanese rule started on March 1st 1919 where the Korean Declaration of Independence was read in Tapgol Park. After the reading the crowds formed a procession, which was supressed by the Japanese police.
