A bas-relief monument of the Korean independence movement at Tapgol Park (탑골 공원), Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. This relief depicts the Japanese police stopping the independence protest at a bridge. The protest against Japanese rule started on March 1st 1919 where the Korean Declaration of Independence was read in Tapgol Park. After the reading the crowds formed a procession, which was supressed by the Japanese police.
