Steps lead up to the Daeungjeon, the main hall of Jogyesa Temple, in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Daeungjeon (Hangeul: 대웅전; Hanja: 大雄殿) was built in 1938 and is the largest single storey hall building in Korea. The hall is decorated in the traditional Korean dancheong style, and has many panels intricately painted depicting the Buddha's life and teachings.
