The main entrance gate to the Provinical Government Office at the Korean Folk Village, in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea. During the late Joseon period (19th century), this Government office administered the Gyeonggi-do province. The complex consists of the main gate and outer servants' quarters, the inner gate and the mid-servants' quarters, the main office (donghon), the inner living quarters, the inner servants' quarters, and a jail.
The Korean Folk village was set up by the South Korean government in 1973 in an effort to preserve and promote the history of Korea. Open all year round, the Folk village receives around 1.8 million visitors each year.
