A pair of standing stones and a stone mound, located near the entrance to the Korean Folk Museum in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea. The stones have many prayers written by visitors attached to them.
The Korean Folk village was set up by the South Korean government in 1973 in an effort to preserve and promote the history of Korea. It is based around life in the late Joseon period, and features over 250 traditional houses and buildings from across Korea. The buildings cover many different types, from a peasant's house to a nobleman's mansion.
Many people are employed at the Korean Folk Village who practise traditional crafts such as silk weaving, paper making, and wicker weaving. There are also regular shows of horse riding skills and the pungmul (풍물) farmers' dance for visitors to enjoy. The Folk village is open all year round and receives around 1.8 million visitors every year.
