Deraeocoris flavilinea is a common bug found across southern and central Britain. It feeds on Sycamore and Field Maple, but can also often be found on other plants.
Deraeocoris flavilinea is fairly large as far as British bugs go, being around 7-8mm long. It can normally be identified by the banding on the legs, although this is also shared with the much rarer Deraeocoris olivaceus. The adults can normally be seen around June and July in the UK.
D. flavilinea is sexually dimorphic, with the male having a black pronotum (as opposed to the female's more orange pronotum). The male is generally darker in colour, while the female also has slightly widened antennae at the top of the second segment.
